Frequently Asked Questions

Does Enquisite Only Record Human Traffic?

Yes. Enquisite will only track and report traffic from human visitors; it will not show traffic accumulated from spiders, bots, or any other non-human entities.

What Are Referrals?

A referral shows what search engines a user accessed to get to a web page on your web site. This is extremely useful in order to better optimize for specific engines and directories. Enquisite does not only report general referrals from the search engines; it can tell you the exact search page a user came from to get to you!

What Are Page Views?

Page views refer to the number of complete pages requested from a web server.

What Are Hits?

Hits are recorded when a new visitor comes to a web page, and they increase with every element (e.g. images and forms) called on a web page. Because of this, hits are not the best way to measure web traffic.

How Many Search Engines Can I Compare At The Same Time?

From the dashboard, you can select a phrase comparison between three search engines.

What Do The Characters Within the Report Charts Mean?

H Refers to the highest page your site was found at in the search engines for a query. This is typically 1 for page 1. It means that someone, somewhere entered a query into a search engine, saw your site’s listing on page 1 of the search engine results page (SERP), clicked the link, and arrived at your site.

L Refers to the lowest page your site was found at in the search engines for a query. It means someone, somewhere entered a query into a search engine, saw your site’s listing on page X 100 of the results page, clicked the link, and arrived at your site.

A Is the average page position within the search engines that visitors are using to come to your site.

K The last time someone arrived at your web site from a search engine was from page #K. This is extremely useful for tracking particular queries.
